Qasr Al Hosn Exhibition: The Story of Abu Dhabi and its people

“History is a continuous chain of events. The present is only an extension of the past”The late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan

This exhibition tells the story of Abu Dhabi and the Emirati people. The origins of Abu Dhabi began a little over 250 years ago. Since then, the island capital has witnessed dramatic changes; the small fishing community grew into a town and then a high-rise modern city. Today Abu Dhabi is the very definition of a global city.

Visitors can learn that inextricably linked to this story is Qasr al Hosn – the first permanent building on the island, the Ruler’s Palace, a witness to the island’s origins and evolution, and a powerful symbol of the ever-developing city.

Note: The Qasr Al Hosn Exhibition will be closed from January 8 to March 1, 2017 for maintenance.
