ADULT MASTER CLASS: Sadu Leather
Al Sadu is a traditional form of weaving practiced by women in rural communities of the UAE to produce soft furnishings and decorative accessories for camels and horses. In this Masterclass, you can learn how to hand-stitch pieces of camel leather to the woven textile to create usable, personalised accessories.
ADULT MASTER CLASS: Cuttlefish Casting
Run by acclaimed Emirati jewellery designer Azza Al Qubaisi, this workshop will explore the creation of a mould for metals using a cuttlefish bone – a material long prized for its use as a jewellery mould as it can withstand high temperatures and is easily carved. In this workshop, participants will design and cast their own creation in silver.
